The European Masters Games event will conquer Tampere – Keskustorin kesäkeidas serves as the official competition square

The fifth European Masters Games event will conquer Finland and Tampere for the first time from June 26 to July 9, 2023. Tampere hosts this sports festival, and it’s competition program includes 29 different summer sports.

The European Masters Games offers adult athletes the opportunity to compete in their favorite sports and at the same time get to know fellow athletes at the event. The event is a wonderful sports festival where friendship and passion are highlighted and aims to inspire everyone to develop in the sports community that promotes well-being.

This summer, 7,500 athletes and their support groups are expected in Tampere, arriving from 77 different countries. Tampere’s street scene will once again be transformed into an international sports stage – during the event, you can watch competition performances at 14 different performance venues around Tampere. The public has free access to all sporting events at the European Masters Games.

European Masters Games opening ceremony 27.6. starts with the athletes’ march, which leaves from Keskustori at 18:30 and travels about 800 meters to the Tampere Stadium. You can take part in the march already at Keskustori or arrive directly at the Tampere Stadium. The evening is full of carnival atmosphere, live music and dazzling performances! The host of the event is Kaj Kunnas. Keskustorin kesäkeidas also serves as the official competition square during the games.
